Lagritz thought for a moment. "Perhaps we should split up into two or three groups. We can ask go ask people we know if they have a way to get the king of Surda to listen to our story. Surly not just anyone could get an audience with a king."
"We could meet back at a specified place in, say, three weeks? That should give us enough time for any significant travel." Lagriz didn't know if his plan was a good one, but it was the only one he could think of.
(OOC: I thought this may be a nice transition to your egg-finding stories, but that's for you two to decide)

"I agree," said Berl. "By ourselves, we won't be able to gain an audience with the king. We'll need help." He scratched his head. "I'll start in my hometown of Narda. I think there was a blacksmith there who helped the king out one time. Perhaps we can use that to our advantage." And even if they couldn't, it would be good to be home again.
"Where shall we meet, come three weeks?" He was anxious to be going. It would do the country no good if they took too long to get help from the Surdan king.

Nilaya spent most of the conversation being a translator between Berl and Lagritz, but the ideas were ones she agreed with so she would occasionally interject comments about her agreement when she translated for one or the other. She wasn't sure where her search would start, possibly she could see if the spell caster who'd been training her in Dras-Leona was still there.
"I might head toward my home town, Dras-Leona. I'm not very welcome there, but the spell caster who was teaching me might still be around. I think that in three weeks we should meet back here. It will be the center point we all started from."
((OOC: Good idea. The threads for those trips might need to be short stories like the ones involving Beezle and Rivlet though.))

(OOC: Sounds like a good plan)
"It is settled then. Nilaya will go to Dras-Leona, Berl will go to Narda, and I will go to my home village. I will see you back here in three weeks."
Lagritz checked to make sure he had everything he came with, then looked at the humans' faces one more time. He did not want to forget what they looked like in the following weeks. Then he turned to leave, to find his way back to his home village. He was not sure if anyone could help him back home, or even if they would help him, but he should at least find out for sure.

Nilaya nodded, translated, and then watched as Lagritz turned to leave. She glanced at him once more, hoping urgals varied enough in appearance that remembering him would be easier. Then she turned to look at Berl. She already had his face memorized well enough.
"So, see you again in three weeks," she said. "Maybe then I can show you the new word I learned." She'd leave him wondering what it was, just for her own amusement. She turned toward the direction of her home and started off, not entirely sure of the welcome she'd receive there.
